Etimología
Mewtwo es un Pokémon creado artificialmente con la combinación del ADN del Pokémon legendario Mew, con el nombre deriva de la combinación de “Mew” y “Two”.
Biología
Mewtwo es una criatura bipede con apariencia predominantemente anaranjada, que no es del todo claro, aunque hay manchas moradas sobre su cuerpo y brazos. Posee grandes garras en sus manos y pies, una especie de cresta en su cabeza y demasiados dientes.
Evolución
Mewtwo no puede evolucionar.
Historia
Mewtwo fue creado en un laboratorio, con el objetivo de producirla la criatura más poderosa de todos los Pokémon. Se dice que los científicos lo buscaban como un «arma de guerra», lo que significa que Mewtwo fue diseñado para luchar contra otros pokémons, más que para ser un compañero de batalla, ganando un respeto temido.

Mewtwo fue originalmente descubierto en un laboratorio de la Isla del Sur en la región de Kanto. En la segunda generación, se lo volvió a encontrar en la Cueva de los Éxtasis, ubicada en la región de Johto.

Mewtwo fue creado en la primera generación, pero aunque el ha existido desde entonces, su especie no ha cambiado en ninguna forma significativa durante las siguientes generaciones, excepto por cambios estéticos ligeros.
